Dialysis orientation - renal replacement therapy for patients

Renal replacement therapies VRDialysis Orientation is a VR application that helps patients decide which renal replacement therapy they want to choose. It also offers new employees the opportunity to learn standardized content. This dialysis training was developed together with medical experts from Ruhruniversität Bochum: Prof. Dr. med. Westhoff and Dr. med. ZGOURadialysis Orientation is a virtual and interactive, value-neutral introduction to the various renal replacement therapies: • Hemodialysis (HD) • Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) • Kidney Transplantation In several chapters, patients learn the various therapies know and learn how they affect their everyday lives, e.g. in terms of nutrition and vacations. You can even try out some exemplary CAPD techniques or take on the role of an HD patient in a dialysis center.VR FOR TRAININGThe aim of this virtual dialysis training is to help healthcare providers train their patients and employees. When using VR, users are more engaged and focused. This means that they are more involved in the decision-making process, which leads to better therapeutic results.
