Content description
The PaneoVR tool for immersive (360°) video trainings is a web and VR application. It is based on a concept for low-threshold access and cost-effective content creation. The focus is on providing an authoring tool for the independent, simple creation of digital (VR) teaching content. No expertise in computer science or media technology is required. The underlying concept was developed in a project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) VirDipa developed to initially support the integration of virtual reality into nursing education. PaneoVR can now be used in a wide variety of professional fields.
Practical learning of processes and actions is an essential part of vocational training. In reality, however, setting up authentic training often involves increased effort, material wear and consumption, or risk. Under certain circumstances, “on-site” teaching may not even be possible. This is where the strengths of virtual reality (VR) learning environments come into effect. Repeatability, safe and authentic learning environments, location independence as well as cost efficiency are decisive for virtual training to be a serious addition to the training company. However, the PaneoVR tool was designed so that this VR content also meets individual requirements without causing too high costs itself.
PaneoVR uses a model with In essence, permanent free access. With the official launch of the application, the previously public PaneoVR prototype will give way to the free community version. Additional services, particularly for teaching companies, are initially part of training courses that you can take advantage of. More about this can be found here. If you are interested, feel free to join us contact on. We will answer any questions you may have about PaneoVR, collaborations, presentations and more, or discuss individual ideas and ideas.

From 2020 to 2023, the interdisciplinary research group VirDiPa developed, tested and evaluated a blended learning qualification concept for the use of VR technology in nursing education. A modern form of teaching/learning with integration of this technology should promote the practical acquisition of specialist knowledge and make it easier to make the decisions necessary in the daily work process. This technology will now continue to be made available to interested users.
